What is the Cost of Teeth Whitening?

The cost of whitening depends on the method. In-office whitening is generally more expensive than take-home kits because you’re getting instant results and it involves chair time and materials. Take-home kits from us cost more than over-the-counter kits, but you’re paying for the custom trays (which are reusable for years) and professional-strength gel that delivers better results. We will explain the costs upfront. Sometimes promotions are available (for example, we might have a discount on whitening for new patients or around wedding season or holidays). We also have to consider that you may need a dental cleaning before whitening (whitening works best on clean teeth).

Some patients choose to do whitening as part of a bigger treatment plan, like after braces or before getting new front tooth restorations – we’ll coordinate so that you whiten first and then match restorations to the new shade.

Insurance typically doesn’t cover cosmetic whitening. Think of it as a beauty treatment for your smile with a long-lasting impact. For a personalized quote, ask us during a consult or exam – we’ll assess what level of staining you have and which system would suit you, then give you the breakdown. We’re here to help you achieve the bright smile you’ve been looking for, in a way that’s safe, effective, and fits your lifestyle.
