Why is a crown so important after treatment?
A tooth without a nerve loses its internal moisture and becomes more brittle. As a result, cracks can form on the molars you chew with — sometimes irreparably. A crown encloses the entire tooth and absorbs that chewing pressure. Without a crown, the risk of eventually losing the tooth is high, and then the root canal treatment would have been in vain.
